As 2025 begins, we're excited to announce a new initiative at Gaming DNA aimed at high-level play with an ultimate prize for the ultimate champion:
The Gaming DNA Premier Series!
Casual gaming and hobby leagues will always make up the majority of our in-store play, and continue to be the best way to introduce new players to the many trading card games (TCGs) we support, but we know that our established players often want something to play for - a reason to brew, to test, to refine new strategies and try new formats.
So, we have been working through the details and logistics in the background to create a high-level play series for the majority of our TCGs and we are proud to reveal this to you today.
The Gaming DNA Premier Series will consist of a series of events throughout the year, across multiple formats supported by the respective TCG, with the ultimate goal of finding our Premier Series Store Champion for each game system.
Dates and details are below.
But how do you become the Premier Series Store Champion and what does being the Premier Series Store Champion mean?
For each TCG, we will be operating a Premier Series League Table, posted and updated on our website. Competing in a Premier Series event for any TCG will get you points on the League Table for that game system. And in December, we will host a free, invite-only event for the top 8 or 16 players (depending on the game system) on each TCGs League Table to determine our Premier Series Store Champion!
But what does it mean to be the Champ???
Each Premiere Series Store Champion for 2025 will have free entry to events hosted by Gaming DNA for that game system in 2026.
This includes free entry to one event of your choice at every Prerelease. It means free entry to every Hobby League. To every set-based store champs event. To every qualifier. To every other sealed, draft, or limited event outside of prereleases for the entire year. Our Premiere Series Store Champion will have a guaranteed spot in every event that has limited spaces available.
We want to make this a title worth having. We want to make this a series worth your engagement. We want to encourage play across multiple formats and give our players the opportunities to play in consistent higher level events.
We're confident that the Gaming DNA Premier Series achieves our goal and we look forward to seeing you there!
Note: Dates are presented now to allow you to plan your attendance and prepare for the relevant format. They are our firm intention, however, they are subject to change by up to 3 weeks due to unforeseen circumstances, or in the instance that a large event (e.g. a National or Regional Championship, or prerelease) causes a clash. Any change to event dates will be notified at least one month in advance of the original or new date, whichever is sooner.
